Monarda fistulosa - An elegant mauve nectar-bearing plant that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, monarda is a highly aromatic edible and medicinal perennial with aromas reminiscent of thyme and bergamot. It is often found in flower beds alongside echinaceas or rudbeckies.

Delicate and fragrant, with hints of thyme and pepper, its petals and leaves are the perfect seasoning for beverages, salads, soups, breads, crepes and desserts.

Many medicinal uses exist in the form of infusions, ointments or mother tinctures to relieve sore throats, digestive disorders and various other ailments.
