Approximate duration: 3h

During this course, you will be introduced to spring grafting of fruit trees in a northern context. To begin with, we'll go over the basics such as:

equipment required

graft selection and storage

choice of rootstock;

slit grafting, complicated English grafting and Jones budding techniques for apple, pear, cherry and plum trees;

Then we'll practice the various grafting techniques on willow branches, followed by a graft and a pre-selected apple rootstock. You'll be able to go home with a grafted apple tree.

Time: 9am to 12pm

Price for one registration: $80 taxes included, including the price of a grafted apple tree ($45)

Price for two registrations: $138 taxes included, including the cost of two grafted apple trees ($90)

La capacité d'adaptation de vos plants dépendra avant tout de leur bagage génétique

Les tiges de noisetier peuvent être utilisés comme bois d'allumage, comme bois de treillis dans les clôtures, pour le fumage de la nourriture et dans le travail du bois pour la confection d'ustensiles et d'outils
