Sium sisarum - Perennial plant
A hardy perennial vegetable of the carrot family that produces sweet, white tubers. Despite its delicious raw taste and diverse culinary uses, chervis remains a lesser-known vegetable due to the difficulty of propagating it by seed.
Their roots are harvested by dividing the plant's crowns in spring before growth or in autumn. We recommend harvesting in spring, as soon as the ground thaws. They will then be at their best. After dividing the plant, simply re-plant it in the same spot.
Prefers well-drained soils, but tolerates damp ones.
